Letter to the Parents

A letter from the Head of School

Dear Wellspring PYP, MYP and DP Parents,

Our City Centre Campus students are growing quickly and Wellspring continues to celebrate their progress, challenge them academically and stretch their dramatic and artistic talents. We are very proud of each and every accomplishment and event.

Last week’s CCC first major stage production “A View  From the Bridge” was a brilliant milestone for our MYP students. It was wonderful to watch our students work together along with Ms Denise, Ms Lara and Ms Soulafa to captivate the audience with amazing acting, singing and musical accompaniment. Our students “never cease to amaze us” with their hidden talents and surprising skills. It was a wonderful event with a “full house” each evening. The gallery of beautiful artwork was another demonstration of gifted and talented artists who continue to blossom under the watchful eyes of Ms Amy and Ms Soulafa. Everyone agrees that it was a memorable event for our CCC students and the MYP Arts Department.

Our after school robotics team also earned the wonderful distinction of winning  Second Place in the Vex Robotics competition that was held last Saturday evening at AUB. Teams from all over Lebanon competed in the event. Our team also won First Place in Design! Congratulations to our budding group of coding wizards.

Wellspring is also proud of our MYP Model United Nations students who worked diligently all year under the guidance of Mr. Majd to compete at LAU Byblos’ annual MUN 2 day Conference. Our diplomatic corps of enthusiastic students earned two awards during the conference: Budour Al Issaei Grade 8 Diplomacy Award and Nouredin Khaddour Grade 7 for his position paper. Congratulations to all!

Finally, Wellspring is very proud to announce that our Grade 12 students are beginning to receive acceptance offers from major universities in Lebanon and worldwide. Many universities and colleges do not begin their acceptance announcements until April 1st, so there will be more acceptances  added to our growing list. I would like to share the first batch of universities offering admission to our Wellspring students:
