Second Annual
Wellspring Arabic Book Fair 2010
The Library Committee is happy to invite you to the 2nd Annual Arabic Book Fair on Friday, May 28th, 2010. It is open for parents from 10:00am to 2:00pm. This event will be a great opportunity for students and their parents to check out and buy the latest Arabic books for children from a big variety made available by three renowned Lebanese publishing houses:
- Dar Al-Hadaek
- Dar Al-Maaref
- Dar Assala Linnashr
Guest authors and readers will join us to spice up our day and read their amazing stories!
· Dr. Fadia Hoteit will read her two Books "حلمي" and "صبي كبير"
· Mrs. Nassim Alwan from Dar Al-Hadaek will read "إصبع مرمر" and "أمي هل تحبينني"
· Mrs. Habiba Issa reading “لعبة الغميضة” by Author Nadim Rafic Issa

Presentation of the book “The Secret of White Beach” by Author
Brighid Webster.
On the 31st of March 2010, Author Brighid Webster and Photograph Tracey Mansell kindly visited Wellspring Library to present their new book “The Secret of White Beach”.
Grade 5 and Grade 6 students enjoyed the presentation that was full of original pictures, exciting details and interesting facts.
Photograph Tracey Mansell showed her authentic photos and explained how they modified the pictures to give a magical effect to the story that talk about Lea and her friendly dog Bono who look after White Beach where they discover a new species and go on a wonderful, magical adventure protecting them.
Author Brighid Webster answered all the questions of the eager to know more details students. At the end we all enjoyed listening to her reading extracts of her book.

Bedtime Stories!
This year, the Library Committee decided to have a fun activity in the library promoting "Reading Experience" between parents and children, especially at bedtime. So Monday February 8th, Grade 6 students and their Buddies from Grade 1, were invited to come to the library with their parents, in Pajamas, with their favorite books, teddy bears blankets and cushions. We read short stories, we improvized small plays, we had a Puppet show and lots of lots of Fun!
