Special Needs Capability - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Wellspring Learning Community does not specialize in educating children with severe learning, psychological or physical disabilities and/or learning support needs.  At present, we do not have the appropriate staff or facilities necessary to properly serve the needs of children with significant learning or physical disabilities.

We do, however, have a very limited number of spaces available in most classes to support children with mild learning support needs.  Each child's case will be evaluated on an individual basis and may be considered for acceptance into Wellspring if the child is 1) able to function successfully in a mainstream classroom (without shadow support),  2) reading at their current grade level in English,  and  3) where we feel that we are able to help advance the child's individual learning with the resources available at school.

Parents will be asked to submit all evaluation reports from special needs therapists and practitioners including Psychologist, Family Physician, Speech Therapist, Psychomotor, Physical Therapy and any other relevant learning support assessments solicited by the family regarding the child's case.

Parents will be asked to sign a disclosure form at the time of application stating that all relevant reports relating to the child's case have been submitted to Wellspring at the time of application.  Applications received with all relevant reports attached will be carefully considered, but there is no guarantee of acceptance.
